“A lot of our mental environment is determined by our biology. I’ve worked with a lot of people with psychiatric issues and a lot of these underlying issues whether it’s anxiety, depression, etc. they’re based on some degree of neuroinflammation. There is some irritation, some activation of the immune system in the brain and that can absolutely be connected with issues in the gut. If we have problems, if we have irritants to the gut caused by plant toxins, inadequate nutrients, or excess linoleic acid that can be transmitted to the brain through the immune system.Changing our diet and focusing on eating nose to tail seems complicated because we’re undoing our conditioning in 2020 but it’s not necessarily complicated from an evolutionary perspective.
